This Privacy Policy explains how Carol Hampshire (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit carolhampshire.com and hub.carolhampshire.com, sign up for a resource, take a quiz, buy a product or book a session with me.

I’m based in South Africa and work with clients around the world, so I follow the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What information I collect

Information you give me

  • Your name and email address when you download a resource, take the Brand Archetype Quiz or join my mailing list
  • Your billing details when you buy a product or service (card payments are processed by my payment providers; I never see or store your full card number)
  • Your birth date, time and place when you order an Astrology Visibility Blueprint, Business Astrology Session or other astrology-based service, plus any questions you choose to send
  • Information you share on calls, in intake forms, by email or in direct messages

Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Cookies below)

How I use your information

  • To deliver what you’ve asked for, including your Blueprint, sessions, brand and website projects, and digital products
  • To process payments and send receipts and booking confirmations
  • To send you emails you’ve signed up for, including resources, updates and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • To answer your questions and support you as a client
  • To understand how my website is used so I can improve it
  • To meet my legal, tax and accounting obligations

My legal basis for this is your consent, the need to perform a contract with you, my legitimate interest in running and improving my business, or a legal obligation.

Your birth data

Your birth details are used only to prepare your chart and the service you’ve ordered. I don’t sell them, share them for marketing, or use them for anything else without your permission. I may use AI tools to help prepare and design your written materials; when I do, I use trusted providers and share only what’s needed to create your deliverable.

Who I share your information with

I never sell your personal information. I share it only with trusted service providers who help me run my business, such as:

  • Email marketing (Flodesk)
  • Scheduling (Calendly)
  • Payments and checkout (SureCart, WooCommerce and their payment processors)
  • Website hosting
  • Analytics and advertising (Google Analytics, Meta)
  • Video calls and file sharing (e.g. Zoom, Google Drive)
  • My accountant and, where needed, trusted contractors working on your project

These providers may only use your information to provide their service to me. I may also disclose information if required by law.

International transfers

Some of my service providers are based outside South Africa, the EU and the UK, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred, I rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

My website uses cookies to make it work properly, remember your preferences, measure traffic (Google Analytics) and understand which content and ads are useful (Meta Pixel). You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How long I keep your information

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe
  • Client and purchase records: for as long as needed to provide the service and up to 5 years afterwards for tax and accounting purposes
  • Birth data and project files: for as long as you’re a client and a reasonable period afterwards so I can support you, unless you ask me to delete them sooner

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information I hold about you and get a copy
  • Correct information that’s wrong or incomplete
  • Ask me to delete your information
  • Object to or restrict how I use it, including for direct marketing
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Receive your information in a portable format

To use any of these rights, email support@carolhampshire.com and I’ll respond within 30 days.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please contact me first. You can also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za) or, if you’re in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.

Keeping your information safe

I use reputable, secure platforms and take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online system is 100% secure, but I take your privacy seriously.

Children

My services are for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

My website links to other sites, such as podcasts, social media and client websites. I’m not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
